Community is at the heart of everything we do. As part of the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (FCBDD), Adult Services is committed to helping you live, learn, work and participate in our community. We’ll take a look at what’s important to you and for you and begin to imagine what’s possible. We start where you are and talk about where you want to go – your hopes, your dreams, YOUR future.
We believe that employment is a key part of adult life in Franklin County. Most adults in our community work and contribute. We offer everyone the opportunity to explore and participate in community-based work. You may not be sure how you or your loved one will be able to work or contribute…our staff are trained to help! Whether it’s a full-time job with benefits, volunteering with a food pantry, participating in self-advocacy efforts, or starting your own business — our services are designed to support all people to live, learn, work and participate in the community!
Community involvement is an integral part of all our programming, not just our employment programs, and all individuals have the opportunity to participate in their community in a variety of ways.
